A post to encourage a milestone!

So, I haven't posted anything in a while and, to be honest, I haven't got much to report. I made some Barbie clothes that I gave to my sister to sell on her Fleetwood Market stall, "Mary, Tom and Friends" and finally she sold a dress. Plus she got an order for another dress in a colour I hadn't used so that is my project for today once I have finished this.

So the milestone I speak of is I noticed I have had 998 views of this blog so thought I would try to persuade, trick if you will, you lovely people to reading this and tipping me over the 1000 views mark. I apologise for the devious tactics and will try to post something far more interesting in due course.

When will I see you again?....well now actually.

So, my friends, it has been a while. I don't know if anyone has any interest in this blog anymore. I know I haven't shown much interest recently. However, I have been crocheting like a demon recently so thought I would share some pics with you of recent projects. The first thing I have been concentrating on are clothes for Barbie's. My nieces are Barbie mad so the clothes I crochet make great prezzies for them. I sent my eldest niece the following pic and she immediately put in requests for different colours. That means Christmas is sorted!

I am now working on a longer version of this dress in blue as my niece thought it would look like Elsa's dress in Frozen.

The second pic is of 3 (unfinished) poppies I crocheted for my sister who runs a market stall in Fleetwood Market (called Mary,Tom and Friends). She and I (although I only made about 35), made them to sell and the profits went to the Poppy Appeal. In the end Katie (for that is my sister's name) raised £811.20. Not bad. Needless to say we have started making poppies for next year.

So there we go. I will post again when I have finished Elsa's dress (that looks nothing like Elsa's dress).

New Year, New Leaf, New Knits......actually New Crochets (that makes no sense)

So, I have not posted for over a year on this here blog. I have been crocheting quite a bit but I literally forgot about this blog. I write another blog about something I know a lot more about so that has had all my energy recently. However, I have produced a few things recently that deserve an airing. The first is a very boring baby blanket
I don't even know why I am sharing that. It looks better in real life. I will just leave it there. The second is a baby hat and bootees. I do baby stuff as it is generally small and quickly finished. I am a VERY impatient person so baby stuff is perfect for me.
These were far more successful, although, the edging on the bootees is bigger on one than the other but then we generally have one foot bigger than the other so it should even itself out. That is what I am telling myself anyway. He third is a little something I crocheted for my friend. It was for a baby shower, although it wasn't meant for the baby, and it was something that represented something to do with our friendship. We were both in a show where we had to dress up as Devils.
Oh, and I almost forgot. I did knit, yes knit, yet another tea cosy. You can never have enough I say.
So that brings us up to date. I will try not to leave it more than a year again but I really can't promise.
